Range of motion

1 exercise

Range of motion is one of the key components of athletic performance. It is defined as the intrinsic ability of tissues to reach their maximum range of movement without injury. A limited or restricted range of motion is considered a significant risk factor for sports-related injuries. Similarly, limited range of motion in the lower limb joints can lead athletes to adopt abnormal movement patterns, which increases the risk of overloading soft tissues (muscles, tendons, and ligaments).
